I am so much more confident and physically so much stronger because of CrossFit.
I am originally from Helena, MT. I went to school at the University of MT and obtained a degree in Spanish and in International Business. I also attended Whitworth for Graduate school and have a Master’s in International Management. I work as a Sales Executive for Travelers Insurance-Personal Insurance. In my free time I love getting outside in the mountains as remote as I can get. Outside of CrossFit I love running, hiking, paddle boarding, skiing and snow shoeing. I am obsessed with dogs. I also love to travel and see new places and new cultures.
I decided to run a full marathon in 2017. I needed something to supplement my training, so I decided to try Crossfit with some encouragement from Jenny. I absolutely love it and can’t imagine my life before Crossfit!
I like most about CrossFit is two things-1. The amazing people and support system. 2. The changes I see in my body physically and strength wise.
My typical day I wake up anywhere from 5:30-7:30. I try to eat a healthy breakfast, drink lots of water and have some coffee to start the day. I travel a lot for work so most days I am on the road. I try to get to CrossFit 2-3 days a week in the summer and 3-4 days a week in the winter. I do at least one long hike or run a week. I exercise 4-6 days a week depending on my schedule. I try and get to bed by 11 every night. Any extra time I get I like to spend with my pups or outside enjoying nature.
Anyone who is considering trying CrossFit-please do! I am so much more confident and physically so much stronger because of CrossFit. The gym family is amazing. This year I got a PR at the Missoula Half and I credit CrossFit for that!
